Why do I get a "No more users allowed" message when starting TGP?
The version of The Gradebook Program from this website is licensed for use by a single user. To ensure the licence is not exceeded a file named LICENCE.NAF is created in a special folder on your system. This file keeps a count of the number of copies of the program running simultaneously.
If the TGP program ends in an unexpected way, for example after an error, the LICENCE.NAF file can lose track of the number of copies of the program running. This may result in the problem message.
- Deleting the LICENCE.NAF file before starting TGP, resets the count to zero and allows the program to run.
The location of the LICENCE.NAF file varies depending on the running version of Windows. For example, on Windows XP it is at:
C:\Documents and Settings\User Name\Application Data\Tgp\LICENCE.NAF
Where User Name is your login name for Windows.
