After you download the The Gradebook Program setup program, tgp-install.exe, you can then run it to install the program on your computer. You may choose to run the install program directly from your browser.
The Setup optionally creates a shortcut on the Windows Desktop from where you can run The Gradebook Program, or you can start it from the shortcut in the TGP group from the Windows Start menu.
- The first time you run The Gradebook Program, it is recommended that you use the Open command in the File menu to open the sample gradebook named sample.mk to get a quick start with using the program.
With Windows Vista it is important not to open the sample.mk gradebook directly from the program folder, i.e. C:\Program files\Tgp as doing so will not allow changes to be saved because of Vista security. Using the Open command in the File menu is recommended because it instead open the gradebook from the Tgp folder in your Documents area.
